ID Released For Man Killed In Head-On Westchester Crash

A man killed in a head-on crash in Northern Westchester has been identified.

Diego Trejo, 22, of Pound Ridge, was killed around 9:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, on South Bedford Road, said Bedford Police Lt. Andrew Bellantone.

According to Bellantone, a preliminary investigation found that a 2018 BMW 750I traveling eastbound collided head-on with Trejo's 2004 Acura TSX sedan traveling westbound.

Trejo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said.

The driver of the BMW, a 51-year-old man, was transported to Westchester County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Bellantone said.

The Bedford PD was assisted by the Bedford Fire Department, Bedford Hills Fire Department, and Westchester EMS.

This accident is remains under investigation by the Bedford Police Accident Investigation team.
